Hot Yoga ( Hot Standing 26 Postures)
In this invigorating class, the room is heated to a warmer temperature to allow a deeper release and to avoid injury. It is designed from the many postures from the hot yoga lineage in Calcutta, India developed by Bishnu Ghosh. In this class, postures are done in a systematic way (particular sequencing will depend on your teacher and students in the class). Your muscles will be stretched and contracted to improve circulation to the joints and body. This series of postures works against gravity to strengthen the bones. The magic of this class is that everyone is practicing the same posture at different levels of ability, receiving the same benefits. There is an exact position for everyone at every level, which our trained instructors will help you find. You will work every muscle, bone, system, and cell of the body BONES TO SKIN! A total body workout that is great for the beginner, intermediate and advanced practitioner.
Slow Flow - Warm Room
A great class for those new to hot yoga, yoga, older, recovering from injury or those wanting to explore the postures at a slower pace. All of the asanas (postures) in this class will translate to the other classes offered at the studio. We will explore postures from the standing series and vinyasa classes, get acquainted with the yogic breath, and get the body used to the heat. This class will be taught in a warm environment so we keep the muscles at their optimum ability to stretch safely.
Hot Vinyasa
This class incorporates Asanas (poses) from our lineage and others into a “Vinyasa” (continuous flow) style. This class will be taught in a hot environment. It flows from one posture to another in a harmonious manner that creates a meditation in motion. Hot Vinyasa is a vigorous class that is also beginner friendly. It combines upper body strength, flexibility and a cardio challenge that is fun and rewarding. Designed for all levels seeking a challenge.
Inward Practice - Hot Yoga
In this class, we turn the lights down and play inspiring music to our flow of yoga asanas. This class allows students to focus more on the mental and spiritual aspects of the practice, while still receiving the physical benefits. Verbal instruction is minimal but given when needed, we want the student to not listen so much to our voices but to their inner voice to feel and breath into each posture.
Hot Power Vinyasa
Inspired by Latonya's training at Core Power in Denver, this is vinyasa flow practiced in a hot environment that works to heal, detoxify, and exhilerate the body and mind. There will be core work throughout the class with the emphasis being placed on movement, balance and intention to connect the body and mind which is achieved through intense flow and ujjayi breathing techniques. This will help students to get the core of their being.
Candle Lite Class
A gentle practice for all levels with a focus on breath work and restorative poses. Practiced in a warm room with soothing music and a bit slower pace so you can reflect and find your moving meditation.
Deep Stretch
Inspired by my first yoga teacher at the beach. A yoga stretch class with a meditative quality. In these classes we will mostly stay close to the floor, easing into longer holds and deeper stretches. The heat is still on so we can safely stretch deeply into our muscles, but it is a passive style class.
Warm Vinyasa
Connect your breath to movement while building strength and increasing flexibility. We practice in a warm environment. This class will leave you feeling long and strong. This class will take you on an inward journey using posture and precise alignment to reflect and bring awareness to your highest potential, while receiving all the physical benefits of this powerful practice.
